March is colon cancer awareness month, and it's important to address disparities we see in communities of color. According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), African Americans are 20% more likely to receive a diagnosis of colorectal cancer and about 40% more likely to die from colorectal cancer.
This week's featured article explores what our healthcare system can do to address these disparities, and more importantly, strategies we can deploy to advocate for ourselves and improve our health outcomes.
Make it a great week!
